Blackmagic Design today announced Intensity Extreme, a new low-cost, ultra-high-quality video capture and playback card for professional videographers that includes HDMI and analog video based on new Thunderbolt technology.
Intesity Extreme is the first Thunderbolt device to combine high-quality HDMI capture and playback, with the broad compatibility of analog component, NTSC, PAL and S-Video, and analog audio capture and playback in a compact form factor that is powered entirely by the computer's Thunderbolt connection. This means Intensity Extreme is the perfect solution for adding video to laptops, as it is powered by the laptop's battery.
Blackmagic Design's Intensity Extreme can be connected to any TV or video projector for incredible image editing. Intensity Extreme instantly switches between 1080 HD 720 HD, NTSC and PAL video standards and is fully compatible with Adobe Premiere™ Pro, Apple™ Final Cut Pro 7™, Adobe After Effects™, Adobe Photoshop™ and any QuickTime™ based software application.
