The “Comart Production & Transmission Days 2018” was successfully completed at the Glass Musical Theater, 9 & 10/5
The two-day event presented equipment and technologies for Video Production, Post Production, Transmission, etc. from Blackmagic Design, Apple iMac Pro, LaCie, Mobile Viewpoint, Varisoft HTC Vive, Swit, Prompter People, etc., while visitors had the opportunity to see, try and learn about the products and integrated solutions from our team and from partners from foreign companies.
Complete Production & Post Production Workflow
Blackmagic Design, Apple iMac Pro, Lacie Pro Storage
A full set with Blackmagic URSA Broadcast and Blackmagic Micro Cinema cameras, a well-equipped desk with Blackmagic Ultimatte 12 real time keyer, Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 15 for editing and color correction along with Fusion 9 for composition and visual effects, accompanied by DaVinci Resolve Mini and Micro Panel.
The system was complemented by Fiber Converters with 10G Ethernet capability, a Smart Videohub 20×20 router and ATEM Live Production Switcher, and Lacie 2big, 6big and 12big storage systems with Thunderbolt 3 and USB connections and capacities up to 120TB. The workstations used were a powerful Apple iMac Pro and an iMac with appropriate configurations.
The green screen set, the necessary lighting units, tripods and accessories were placed and adjusted so that we could have a high-level professional result with uniform lighting in the keying, by the company AlbaPV with products from Manfrotto, Jinbei, etc.
Visitors had the opportunity to see a workflow in full operation, from shooting with the cameras to image mixing, editing, color correction, creating-adding visual effects and keying to achieve an excellent result.
Two experienced professionals, Yannis Ageladopoulos, VFX Supervisor and George Foukarakis, Compositor and VFX Artist, presented to visitors a workflow and examples of Keying, Color Grading & VFX with the latest versions of Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 15 and Fusion 9.
The green shots and real time keying were brought to life with their friendly participation and amazing flamenco dance figures by the exceptional Katerina Kartikki and Roula Vasilaki from the group “Danza Flamenca Grupo”.
Highlights:
Airlink by Mobile Viewpoint – Wireless transmission 3G/4G/5G and Artificial Intelligence Solutions (AI)
Martijn van Erven, Sales Director at Mobile Viewpoint, gave a comprehensive presentation of Airlink, a portable wireless encoder, with the ability to expand to two SDI inputs and send video and audio data simultaneously, combined with the upgraded Link Matrix interface for remote control.
Visitors were also informed about the automated sports and news production solutions, IQ SportsProducer with Artificial Intelligence technology & NewsPilot. Also important was the presentation of the Streamur App, which in combination with the Webstreamur platform provides a reliable and quality solution not only for the image, but also for the sound, to journalists and sports editors of Radio Stations. Reporters can “go on air” from anywhere, via wi-fi connections or mobile telephony, with MacBook, iPhone and Android devices.
Storage Solutions from Lacie and DJI Copilot
Edouard Doutriaux, Head of DMB and Distribution Sales Consumer Group and Johanna Strunke, Marketing Manager of Lacie were with us to present the wide range of Lacie's innovative products that cover all data storage needs.
The new DJI Copilot, the result of a collaboration between LaCie and DJI, the well-known manufacturer of quality drones, was at the center of attention as it is the first product in LaCie's new BOSS (Backup On-Set Solution) series. It features an SD card slot and a USB port for copying files directly from devices without the need for a laptop, while its screen allows for convenient data and hardware management, and the built-in battery provides sufficient operating time, as well as the ability to charge mobile phones.
Telephoto lenses – teleprompter her Prompter People
The event featured the ProLine Plus 17″ Teleprompter with adapter and Rail mount kit, a flexible system with great placement, viewing angle, adjustment and transport capabilities.
The ProLine Plus series is available in sizes from 12 to 24 inches, with auto-reversing screens for television productions that invert text so it can be read on the glass surface of the projector at distances from 1.5 to 9 meters.
Swit Electronics
HD video monitoring, conversion & transmission systems, charging products and batteries for video cameras, lights and accessories which visitors had the opportunity to examine up close and collect information material.
Varisoft – HTC Video, Virtual and Mixed Reality
Andy Deshpande of Varisoft presented a demo of the HTC Vive Virtual & Mixed reality system to the visitors, who actively participated, experiencing a complete virtual and mixed reality experience in an interactive 360-degree three-dimensional space.
Varisoft has created an excellent software with VR applications that is accompanied by the HTC Vive for business hardware. In combination, the quality HTC headset introduced the audience to the world of high scale resolution filters and a truly impressive virtual reality environment with excellent content, from virtual tours and games to experiential experiences and films.
