Datacolor SpyderX

Datacolor, a well-known company specializing in color grading and management products, has announced two new all-in-one packages featuring the latest Datacolor SpyderX display calibrator.

The SpyderX Capture Pro and SpyderX Studio are centered around the Elite version of the Spyder X device that was announced earlier this year. However, they are aimed at different users.

SpyderX Capture Pro

The SpyderX Capture Pro bundle includes Spyder LensCal, Spyder Cube and Spyder Checkr along with the SpyderX Elite. LensCal allows users to check the focus accuracy of their lenses, while the Spyder Cube and Spyder Checkr are used to capture reference frames to ensure accurate white balance, exposure and color in post-production.

SpyderX Studio

SpyderX Studio, on the other hand, is aimed at home users. While it offers the same Spyder Cube and Spyder Elite calibration devices as the Studio collection, it does not include the Checkr and LensCal products. In their place, Spyder Print has been added, which allows users to create print profiles according to the ICC standard.
