Managing video streams with LinkMatrix
The LinkMatrix is the control and management center for creating, managing and monitoring video streams at low cost. LinkMatrix's main function is to connect video sources to TS decoders such as IRD or social media platforms such as Facebook. It uses cloud-based transcoding to ensure compliance between any source and any streaming destination.
New GUI and improved features
Η Mobile Viewpoint upgraded its usability LinkMatrix with a new GUI and enhanced features. Includes instant settings update, Livematrix view and scheduling functions for social media streaming that primarily targets IQSport products, but can also be used for regular WMT encoders.
Along with usability, the scalability of LinkMatrix has also been improved. LinkMatrix backend systems, such as the database, are being moved to the cloud and the interface is being expanded. The setup has been configured to be more scalable, more resilient, and can redirect WMT units to an on-premise LinkMatrix set-up.
Cloud-based functionality
The result of Mobile Viewpoint's effort to make LinkMatrix more scalable and cloud-based is the use of random IP numbers for LinkMatrix interfaces. This means that any user with specific firewall rules for playout or servers will need to update them accordingly.
