Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop's amazing new Super Resolution feature
The latest version of Adobe Photoshop comes with an interesting feature in the Camera Raw dialog, Adobe Photoshop Super Resolution, which promises to leverage machine learning to upscale images to four times their original resolution.
Adobe's new Super Resolution feature promises to double the number of pixels in both the horizontal and vertical dimensions, quadrupling the overall resolution. Such a feature has a huge range of possible uses. Wildlife or sports photographers, who often need to crop photos significantly, could use it to recover details in images. People who shoot with low resolution sensors could use it to produce large prints.
Landscape photographers get the ability to use it simply to add more detail to a photo. It looks like the tool has some pretty serious potential and could end up being a popular feature for a wide range of photographers.
