Blackmagic Design introduces a new pocket-sized digital cinema camera, packed with powerful features like a 16mm Super 1080HD sensor, 13-stop wide-angle lens, built-in SD card recorder for Apple ProRes, CinemaDNG RAW lossless compression, and an active Micro Four Thirds mount lens, all in an attractive, compact design.

The new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema has most of the features of the Blackmagic Cinema first introduced at NAB 2012, but has been redesigned to be dramatically smaller, less than an inch thick, and fit comfortably in your hand.

Its small dimensions allow it to be used in situations where using a larger camera is not practical or feasible.

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera supports editing software such as Final Cut Pro X and Avid Media Composer. Unlike other cameras, which require the use of custom video files, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera only includes open file formats.
