Strengthening the Self-Employment of Graduates of Higher Education B Cycle

The program aims to support graduates of higher education, unemployed, salaried and self-employed, to start/support the exercise of a professional activity related to their specialty in an independent professional area.

Beneficiaries are:

Graduates of AEI/TEI or an equivalent school in Greece or abroad (recognized by DOATAP) or holders of recognition of professional qualifications by SAEI or SAEP. Also, degrees from Schools of Theater and Dance recognized by the Ministry. of Culture as tertiary and graduates of music schools recognized by the State (the first degree must have been obtained after 1.1.1995).

Beneficiary Category A: Unemployed, registered in the unemployment registers of the OAED, employees (full-time or part-time or seasonal), existing entrepreneurs who will set up a new company with unemployed or employees.

Beneficiary Category B: Existing individual entrepreneurs (self-employed) who are already practicing a professional activity related to their specialty (degree), as well as partnerships between them.

Subsidy:

They are subsidized for: the creation, organization, support and operation of a new or existing business related to their studies.

They are subsidized with: €5,000 to €25,000 for a beneficiary with an individual business, up to €40,000 cooperative schemes of two people, up to €50,000 for partnerships of three or more. 100% of the eligible expenses is financed.

Basic conditions:

I. Income criteria

Category A, the average taxable income for the tax years 2015, 2014 & 2013, not to exceed €22,000 for individual income or €35,000 for family income, depending on their marital status in tax year 2015.

Category B, the above applies and also the average of the total gross income from business activity for the years 2015, 2014 & 2013 should not exceed €40,000.

II. Subsidy from programs in the past

The interested party must not have joined co-financed programs as an individual entrepreneur/entrepreneur or a partner in a subsidized company, since 1.1.2013, except for training programs.

III. Not to participate as a partner/shareholder in other businesses of any legal form from 1.1.2015, excluding the holding of shares in companies listed on the Stock Exchange.

IV. Not to have the status of individual entrepreneur when submitting the financing application and not to have interrupted their business activity (as individual entrepreneurs) from 1.1.2017 up to and including the date of submitting the financing application.

Start of electronic submission on 5.7.2017. The electronic submission can be made in 3 different periods:

1st period: Start 5.7.2017 – End 9.8.2017
2nd period: Start 6.9.2017 – End 11.10.2017
3rd period: Start 8.11.2017 – End 13.12.2017
