AJA Announces the Release of the New AJA HA5 Fiber Mini Converter

The new HA5-Fiber mini Converter converts an HDMI input to 3G-SDI, via a single mode 1310nm fiber optic cable (ST-style fiber connector), for transporting HDMI sources over fiber optic with support for 1080p 60. Its small size allows it to easily fit on the back of a camera, monitor or behind a rack. The output supports 8 channels of embedded audio, allowing a single connection of the audio/video cable over distances of up to 10 kilometers. The HA5-Fiber also provides 2-Channel RCA style audio inputs for stereo audio input when needed.

The AJA HA5 Fiber Mini Converter is compact and small enough to carry anywhere. It features a locking power connector and an optional P-TAP power cable allows for battery charging in remote locations.
