Comart: Undertaking the project for the transfer of ERT's international brand – ERT World
Comart S.A. undertook the provision of transmission services for the international signal of ERT S.A. for one year.
Project subject
The project includes the transmission of the following services: Television program ERT World, Hybrid services HbbTV, Electronic program guide EPG, Subtitles (CC), Radio program "The Voice of Greece". The signal is received at the ERT facilities (Agia Paraskevi) and distributed to the corresponding international destinations.
Technical implementation
The implementation for the transmission of the international ERT signal is based on cooperation with the NextologiesEach stream is transferred via two independent directionsSupported formats: HD, NTSC, MPEG2, HLS (CBR). Encoder/decoder is provided at both ends. ERT uses different ISPs per encoder.
The implementation of the project includes a combination of cutting-edge technical solutions and continuous monitoring procedures, in order to ensure image and sound quality at all stages of transmission. This ensures that ERT's signal remains stable, secure and compatible with international standards, regardless of the platform or provider receiving it.

Monitoring & operation
Technical monitoring is carried out by the Network Operations Center (NOC) of Nextologies, in Toronto, Canada, 24/7/365Monitoring is planned – real-time monitoring of the final flows from ERT and immediate notification of the technical managers via email and/or telephone in the event of an emergency.
