Comart and Blackmagic Desing (BMD) organized a successful informative event on Blackmagic Design's video and cinema technologies yesterday, Monday, October 10, 2016, in the atrium of the Hellenic Automobile Museum, with the presence of the well-known company's fully equipped Van.

Mr. Costas Nicolaidis, Vice President and Sales Director of Comart said on our technology portal: "We are completely satisfied with both the attendance and the interest shown by our guests from TV stations, production and post production companies, educational institutions and equipment rental companies , as well as several professional freelancers from the field of production and cinema, as well as from other industries such as AV, Corporate.” He continued: "The interest in Blackmagic Design products is growing rapidly in our country as well with Comart being in an advantageous position to cover any requirement and application."

The folks at Comart have informed us that during Blackmagic Week (from 10 to 14/10 2016) there is a 10% discount on list prices, by telephone arrangement.

We will not expand on the products we saw inside and outside the BMD Van (they are known to everyone both from our posts on the IBC 2016 and NAB 2016 exhibitions, as well as from the press releases of its Resellers in our country and the manufacturer company ). Instead we will refer to what we heard and recorded from the people at Blackmagic Design etc. Pedro Serrano (Business Development Manager OEM EMEA) and Marco Bompani (Regional Sales Manager Italy & Greece).

In particular, we heard from the lips of the two people of BMD that the increase in sales worldwide is significant and that in our country, despite the unfavorable economic situation, there was a jump in sales, which is due to the fact that BMD offers reliable and quality performance products at an affordable cost for every customer.

With obvious satisfaction on their faces, they explained to us that this increase in sales is also due to the fact that its products are not only used in the traditional areas of Broadcasting, Post Production and Cinema, but also in other equally important industries such as AV, concerts , conferences, temples, independent producers, research and educational institutions, etc. They specifically told us that they are particularly optimistic for even greater growth in sales in our country and in the wider region.

Regarding the development of BMD products, they told us that we have to see many important solutions in the future and that it would be good to wait for the relevant announcements at the upcoming NAB exhibition. In fact, they stated that the production of products with good technology at an affordable price will continue. The common denominator of its products is the quality of the image files (in terms of cameras) and the production capability that is only found in much more expensive equipment. The excellent form factor (shape, size, dimensions) of BMD products also plays an important role in increasing sales.
They also reported that BMD's product range now meets the demands of both Film and TV Production, with cameras that have excellent sensors, PL mount for lenses, excellent on-board processing, sensor calibration and excellent on-board recording, while with the free edition distribution of Davinci for edit and grade work, more and more professionals approach BMD solutions.
