Datacolor SpyderX

Datacolor, a well-known company specializing in color grading and management products, has announced two new all-in-one packages featuring the latest Datacolor SpyderX display calibrator.

SpyderX Capture Pro and SpyderX Studio are centered around the Elite version of the Spyder X device that was announced earlier this year. However, they target different users.

SpyderX Capture Pro

The SpyderX Capture Pro package includes the Spyder LensCal, Spyder Cube and Spyder Checkr products along with the SpyderX Elite. LensCal allows users to check the focus accuracy of their lenses, while Spyder Cube and Spyder Checkr are used to record reference frames to ensure accurate white balance, exposure and color in post-processing.

SpyderX Studio

SpyderX Studio, on the other hand, is aimed at home users. Although it offers the same Spyder Cube and Spyder Elite calibrators as the Studio collection, it does not include the Checkr and LensCal products. Spyder Print has been added in their place, which allows users to create ICC print profiles.
