New NSRF Action also for Cultural, Creative Industries and Audiovisual. The action "I RESEARCH - I CREATE - I INNOVATE" is adressed to:

  1. Research organizations and other bodies treated as research organizations
  2. Enterprises and other entities treated as enterprises

Application period from 23/3/2017 to 17/5/2017

Funding Applications submitted for funding under this Action should promote research, technological development and innovation and be part of one of the following 3 interventions:

  • Research and Development by Small and Medium Enterprises
  • Business Partnerships with Research Organizations
  • Utilization of Research Results

Main goal of the intervention "Research and Development by Small and Medium Enterprises" is to support research, promote innovation and strengthen networking in small and medium-sized enterprises.

Main goal of the intervention "Business Partnerships with Research Organizations" is the collaboration between businesses and research organizations.

Finally, the intervention "Utilization of Research Results" aims to advance research to the next level of technological readiness, based on results produced in previous research projects.

In the new Action they are included in sector 2 "Culture, Tourism and Creative Industries", indicatively:

  1. Development of innovative products and services, including audiovisual, with an emphasis on strengthening and supporting businesses, professionals and organizations active in the areas of Culture, Tourism and Creative Industries.
  1. Development of innovative products and services, including audiovisual, with an emphasis on enhancing the end-user experience and aiming to highlight and promote cultural heritage, contemporary culture and the tourism product.
  1. Development of ICT tools and applications that promote the synergy of the Culture, Tourism and Creative Industries sectors with other thematic sectors with the aim of creating new value chains.
  1. Design and development of innovative products, applications, methodologies and services from the Creative Industry in order to create value chains in the Culture, Tourism and Creative Industry sectors.

Eligible expenditure categories:

  • Personnel expenses.
  • Instrument & equipment costs.
  • Expenditure on buildings and grounds.
  • Costs for outsourced contract research, patents, purchased or licensed from outside sources on an arm's length basis, as well as costs for consulting and equivalent support services used exclusively for the project.
  • Additional overhead and other operating costs that are a direct result of the project
  • Feasibility study costs
  • Innovation costs
  • Expenses for participation in trade fairs
