When you import titles created with LiveType into Final Cut Pro, the graphics may not appear as good as expected when viewed on a computer screen. Although Final Cut Pro supports RBG editing, this may occur depending on your settings.

Solution

If you are having problems with the quality of your imported LiveType movie, connect a video monitor to your DV device to view your rendered composition at full resolution. Viewing on a video monitor allows you to judge the true quality of your LiveType movie, as well as any rendered effects in Final Cut Pro. If you are working with DV and do not have access to a professional video monitor, you can use a standard television instead.

In Final Cut Pro you can select the Always Render in RGB option:

  1. Select the image sequence and choose Sequence > Settings (Command-0).
  2. Click on Video Processing.
  3. Select “Always Render in RGB”.
  4. Press OK.
