Viz Engine and Vizrt XR Set
Vizrt has announced that ITV Sport, one of the UK's leading broadcasters, is using the Vizrt XR (Extended Reality) Set solution for Augmented Reality graphics in partnership with AE Live for the UEFA European Football Championship 2020.
AE Live partnered with ITV to create a suite of key graphics and augmented reality (AR) graphics that mesh with its physical and virtual studio, enhancing its coverage of Euro 2020. The AR graphics rendered leveraging Vizrt's Viz Engine solution and controlled using the Vizrt XR Set solution, include player profiles, team boards, country banners, hero banners and floor maps. The workflow is designed to provide producers with an easy-to-use toolbox for customizing the graphics of each match, as well as displaying the latest statistics and data.
Euro 2020 was postponed last year due to COVID-19 and with fans eagerly awaiting the start of the league it was important that the graphics were impressive from the start. More than 20 million viewers tuned in to the recent ITV match between Scotland and England.
For a variety of indoor and outdoor productions, the Vizrt XR Set augmented reality, virtual backdrop and video wall tools enhance the viewer experience through a single workflow. This is one of five Vizrt Solution Suites available exclusively through Flexible Access, allowing customers to customize and scale their production software to meet rapidly changing production needs.
