New AI Tools in Adobe Firefly for Video, Images and Custom Models

Adobe is expanding Adobe Firefly with new video and image creation and editing capabilities, as well as new Custom Models, giving creators, teams and brands more control over the final result through a single AI creation environment. With the new Firefly, users can produce, compare and edit content with different AI models, as well as leverage conversational experiences that make the workflow more natural and immediate, from idea to final asset.

Video and Images in Adobe Firefly

With the new Firefly capabilities, users can create and edit content using more than 30 leading models from Adobe, Google, OpenAI, Runway and newer additions like Kling, all within the same environment. Adobe emphasizes that Firefly allows not only to produce images and videos with different models, but also to compare results, refine with another model and continue editing with professional creative tools. At the same time, new tools such as Quick Cut transform raw footage into a first organized cut in a matter of minutes, while image editing capabilities are expanded to add or remove objects, expand scenes and more precisely fine-tune visuals.

Custom Models for consistency in visual style

The new Firefly Custom Models, available in public beta, allow users to train a model on their own images to capture a specific style, character, or photographic aesthetic. Adobe says these models are optimized for ideation in illustration, character, and photographic styles, helping to preserve elements like stroke weight, color palettes, lighting, and facial or character features across multiple creations. This allows brands and creative teams to produce content at scale without losing their visual identity, while the models remain private by default.

Conversational creation with Project Moonlight

Adobe is also introducing a more conversational approach to content creation, expanding its agentic AI assistants to Photoshop, Express, and Acrobat, so users can describe what they want to achieve in chat and the system takes real actions within the tools. In the same vein, Project Moonlight, Adobe’s new conversational and agentic interface, now in private beta and designed to work across Adobe apps, leveraging a user’s personal style, assets, and libraries, understands creative direction and helps transform an initial idea into a finished result with greater speed and control.
