Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast is Blackmagic Design's new Ultra HD video camera for live and studio productions with 4K capability that continues the tradition of the URSA Mini Pro series but in ENG format. At €3,050 + VAT, the camera is very affordable compared to competitive Broadcast cameras. The price does not include lenses and accessories.
The Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast works with HD or Ultra HD broadcast B4 lenses, making it suitable for shooting HD today and transitioning to Ultra HD in the future. It features a 4K sensor and professional broadcast controls. It also features built-in ND filters (¼, 1/16th and 1/64th), the ability to record 12-bit ProRes and DNx files to dual SD UHS and C-Fast cards, and a new extended video range for stunning footage that can be broadcast directly to the air.
The camera records 1080i or 2160p video in .mov files ideal for NLE editing with the ability to record to .mxf files in a future upgrade. It features a B4 mount for electronic iris, focus and zoom control that can be replaced with EF, PL or F mounts if desired.
Two cameras in one!
URSA Broadcast is two cameras in one. It can be used for production or with the addition of the Blackmagic URSA Studio Viewfinder it can be transformed into a studio camera for live coverage, with remote control and built-in color corrector! A full range of accessories are available from Blackmagic Design for URSA Broadcast such as gold and V-mount backs and fiber converters. The camera accepts all URSA MINI PRO accessories.
