Blackmagic Design has announced the Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast G2. A professional broadcast camera with a 6K digital film sensor that delivers digital film quality. The advanced 6144 x 3456 digital film sensor delivers exceptional low-light performance with double ISO gain up to +36dB and 13 stops of dynamic range. The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 includes H.265 and Blackmagic RAW file formats, Blackmagic generation 5 color science, USB-C port for recording and more.
Multiple uses
The new Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 is an incredibly powerful camera. It’s three cameras in one, working as a 4K production camera, a 4K studio camera, or a 6K digital film camera. It’s the perfect solution for broadcasters because it uses lenses and batteries that customers already own.
Great flexibility
It allows recording to standard SD cards, UHS-II cards, CFast 2.0 cards or external USB drives, in formats such as H.265, Apple ProRes and Blackmagic RAW. This means it is compatible with all video software and broadcast management systems.
Professional quality
The 6K sensor has a resolution of 6144 x 3456 and is versatile enough for broadcast and digital film. The new URSA Broadcast has incredible low-light performance. It is also optimized to reduce grain and noise in images while maintaining the full dynamic range of the sensor.
The B4 lens mount allows customers to use modern Ultra HD lenses or lower-cost HD lenses. Users also have full electronic lens control to adjust focus, iris and zoom using the camera controls or remotely, and can change the mount to PL, EF and more.
The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 features a high-speed USB-C expansion port on the back of the camera that allows recording to external drives or connecting to a wide range of accessories.
A shoulder mount kit, V-Lock battery plate, and handle are included so no additional purchase is required.
