Color 1.5: Render times from RED 2K to DPX file are longer compared to Color 1.x

When rendering from RED 2K files to DPX, be aware that render times are longer than in Color 1.x.

Solution

The REDCODE RAW high-quality de-Bayer encoder causes an increase in processing time when rendering a RED 2K file to DPX. Make sure you test the render time for your project so you can plan your workflow accordingly.

Note: 2K Cineon, DPX and RED files can be rendered at half resolution.
