Anamorphic DV format clips intended to be displayed in 16:9 (widescreen) aspect ratio may appear in 4:3 aspect ratio (SD fullscreen) if you use Send to Motion Project in Final Cut Pro. Specifically, this can happen if you send a DV clip to Motion from the Final Cut Pro Browser.
Solution
If this problem occurs with DV clips sent directly from the Browser, you can resolve this behavior by following these steps in Final Cut Pro:
- Add the clip to a Sequence.
- Do one of the following:
• Select the clip from within the Sequence to simply send the clip

• Select the sequence in the Browser to send all the clips in it.
