Kiloview U4 IP Video Dock: professional IP video in every meeting room

The new Kiloview U4 IP Video Dock is a compact hardware solution that brings professional IP video sources directly to UC meetings, BYOD/BYOM rooms, room displays and local monitoring workflows. Its key value is that it acts as a bridge between the AV-over-IP environment and the devices used every day in real workplaces.

The U4 supports multiple IP video protocols, including NDI, SRT, RTSP, RTMP, UDP, RTP and HLS, allowing the use of different sources within the same workflow. It also offers USB 3.0, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, so that the same IP video source can be driven to meeting software, displays, projectors or monitoring systems.

No virtual camera and no complex software workarounds

In many meeting room setups, connecting a professional IP camera to platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet requires software solutions, virtual camera drivers or additional capture hardware. This can create problems in corporate environments, especially when there are IT restrictions, limited user permissions or a need for stable operation without technical intervention.

Kiloview U4 moves this complexity to hardware. IP video is decoded directly from the device and delivered via USB, HDMI or DisplayPort, reducing the workload on the computer and significantly simplifying the overall installation. This means that professional IP video sources can be more easily used in Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, OBS, 4K displays and local monitoring environments.

Up to 4K60 for displays, projectors and monitoring

Another important feature of the U4 is the ability to output up to 4K60 via HDMI or DisplayPort, which makes it particularly useful for presentation rooms, classrooms, auditoriums and corporate spaces where image quality on a large screen really matters.

Combined with source and preset management, Web UI or KiloLink setup, as well as API or third-party control capabilities, the U4 can be more easily integrated into professional AV systems. It is not just a decoder, but a practical IP video endpoint for spaces where video must work reliably and instantly.

One source, multiple destinations

In many real-world installations, a video feed doesn’t just need to be displayed in one place. It may also need to be fed into a Teams meeting, displayed on a local screen, and sent to a monitoring or recording system. The U4 is designed for just such scenarios.

It supports same-source multi-output, so that an IP stream can be output simultaneously to USB, HDMI and DisplayPort. It can also operate with dual-source independent output, where two different sources are independently assigned to the available output channels. For example, an NDI PTZ camera can go via USB to the meeting laptop, while a separate SRT stream from a remote speaker can be displayed on the room’s HDMI display.
