Upscaling the Production Workflow with Vizrt Solutions for Automation, Graphics, and Media Asset Management
Comart SA, in cooperation with HÄST, has completed the installation of a new technological infrastructure for Naftemporiki TV, based on solutions by Vizrt — one of the leading manufacturers of broadcast automation, newsroom graphics, and media asset management systems.
Comart undertook the supply and installation of the equipment, the interconnection of the individual systems, the initial configuration, and user training. HÄST played the central role in the design and implementation of the overall production pipeline — from ingest to playout — integrating the Vizrt solutions into a unified and fully operational production environment. newsroom workflowcapable of supporting both television production and content distribution across web and digital platforms.

At the core of the installation are Vizrt technologies covering all stages of content production and management.
The implemented solution includes a highly complex integration of multiple technologies, supporting both SDI and NDI workflows. TriCaster acts as the main switching system. Viz Mozart is used for studio automation, and Pilot Edge handles the graphics templates, with rundowns programmed directly in Mozart Showmaker.

Viz Trio covers on-air graphics needs, while Viz Multiplay is used to control two LED video walls. Viz One serves as the Production Asset Management (PAM) system, utilizing EVO storage by SNS. NLE video and graphics editing is handled via Viz Story. Additionally, the customer already makes use of Viz Ticker and Flowics.
Two LG 1.8mm pixel pitch LED walls were installed in the main studio.

The new infrastructure also integrates ingest solutions and broadcast hardware, enabling efficient management of multiple content sources as well as smooth day-to-day operation of the control room.
With this new infrastructure, Naftemporiki TV is equipped with a flexible and automated production environment that enables faster creation of news content, better use of newsroom resources, and easier content distribution across television, web, and social media.

The successful completion of this project demonstrates the ability of Greek companies to design and implement innovative broadcast infrastructures, leveraging cutting-edge international technologies for the production and distribution of news content.
